50th Anniversary & 26th Inauguration Ceremony of the President of the United Association of Food and Beverage Merchants of Macau & 16th Macau Food Festival Awarding Ceremony




The United Association of Food and Beverage Merchants of Macau held the 50th Anniversary & 26th Inauguration Ceremony of the President of the United Association of Food and Beverage Merchants of Macau & the 16th Macau Food Festival Awarding Ceremony at Plaza Restaurant on 16 March.

President Chan Chak Mo would like to take this opportunity thank all the hard work and efforts done by previous Presidents and colleagues. He also wanted to express his gratitude for the consistent care and support from the government, the Liaison Office in Macua SAR, and industry practitioners. UAFBMM has carried out numerous projects supported by members and the catering industry, including the establishment of “One Centre, One Platform” for the development of catering and related industries. UAFBMM introduced multiple programmes such as continue to organize food festival, on-the-job training, coordination of labour relations, fight for the rights and interests of catering industry, promotion of quality services, participation in exhibition projects, and the new round of "Funding Scheme For SME Old Diners ".

The simple and yet solemn inauguration ceremony was successfully held under the oaths of  the leadership of the new President Chan Chak Mo, Director of the Macau Government Tourist Office, Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes and President of Macau Chamber of Commerce, Kou Hoi In. The 16th Macau Food Festival awarding ceremony was also held on the same day.

Nearly a thousand guests and members attended the event including the Vice President of Legislative Assembly, Lam Heong Sang, Minister of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Liaison Office of Macau SAR, Lou Peng, Director of Macau Government Tourist Office, Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, the President of Macau Chamber of Commerce, Kou Hoi In and the President of the Association of Returned Overseas Chinese, Lou Yik Leong.
